So many memories. We've known Ted many years as near neighbour and good friend. Just a few memories.
Seeing tea fly from his nose as my dog was eating a dropped sandwich from a full waste oil bucket.
Calling in on a Sunday evening and still be there after midnight while we tried to do the crossword from the paper.
Helping Ted one night fit a gearbox only for a part to full off cutting my nose, blood everywhere while Ted stood there shaking with laughter while holding the gearbox above our heads.
You paid how much for that.
Is that another spanner set.
I think also he had a thing for torches and lights.
Many thanks Ted

Mark & Louise I’m sure you can recall the bird you had in Coggeshall think it was Ted’s but could’ve been yours as a childhood pet ? Ted loved that bird I can remember him walking round the house with it on his shoulder and shutting the doors to let it fly free and it would quite often land on his hand. He would whistle to it as well I’m sure you also remember your mischievous behaviour when he caught one or both you poking pencils at its cage, that bird had never been vicious but Ted put his finger up to the cage some time after this as he also had on many occasions it pecked his finger and stuck its beak straight through it I was there when this happened and can’t help but have a good laugh over it.If you would’ve seen Ted’s face an obsolete picture of disbelief. 🫢

Big part of my childhood as I pretty much grew up with Louise and Mark. Won't be many people back then who didn't hear Ted's amazingly loud whistle to tell the kids it was home time. WS our family mechanic as well so may times he gave me a look of despair at the state of my cars with the extra words of wisdom as he checked the oil and asked "You want me to weld a bit more on the end of this". RIP Ted x
